The Gulf Breeze Police Department actively seeks volunteers for its National and State award winning "Volunteers in Police Service" (VIPS) Program.
Volunteers provide a host of services and tasks for the Police Department and the local community to which include traffic observation, monitor for proper traffic flow, report traffic / disabled vehicles, and assist law inforcement during large public events and functions. Other duties include administrative functions at the department as deemed neccessary and fleet management / transportation of patrol vehicles for routine maintenance as needed.
Citizens that can contribute a few hours each week are encouraged to apply. No experience is necessary and specialized training is provided for all volunteers.
